  2. After: Essay Planning- Look at your response to the journal prompt from Tuesday/Wednesday.  Find three statements from the article that would support your response.  Write them in your journal for today.  Be sure to include the information you would need to cite them within the text of your essay.
  3. Then: Essay Planning-Write a possible thesis statement for your essay addressing the prompt from Tuesday/Wednesday.
  4. Next: Essay Planning- write at least two subtopics that will support your point. Write at least one subtopic that would address the counterclaim, and your response refuting that counterclaim. Then, write a second version of your thesis statement.
